BGResize is a browser background resizer for meeting walls, profile banners, and video thumbnails. You choose a target frame, place the photo inside that frame, and download a file at that exact pixel size. The full picture stays on screen. Only the area inside the frame is written into the file. Corner handles scale the frame, and dragging inside the frame moves the photo. On download, that region is mapped onto the width and height you picked, so one source can become a wide banner and a square post without uploading again.
Presets use the pixel sizes those products document for uploads. A Zoom or Google Meet background is 1920 by 1080. A YouTube thumbnail is 1280 by 720, and the channel banner preset is 2560 by 1440. A LinkedIn profile background is 1584 by 396, and a square LinkedIn post is 1200 by 1200. An Instagram post is 1080 by 1350, a Pinterest pin is 1000 by 1500, an X post is 1600 by 900, and an X header is 1500 by 500. Facebook post, page cover, and event cover are in the same list. If you need another size, type the width and height. Each side can be from 16 to 8192 pixels.
Choose the output format in the editor. JPG suits photographs. PNG keeps a lossless file or a transparent edge. WebP is for destinations that accept it. Conversion pages such as JPG to PNG open this same editor with that format already selected. A GIF upload is kept as a still image and saved as PNG, because the browser cannot encode an animated GIF. JPG has a quality slider: a lower value makes a smaller file for chat, and a higher value keeps detail before a video site compresses the thumbnail again. PNG and WebP do not use that slider.
Pixels are decoded, cropped, and encoded on your device. The download request only tells the server that an export happened, so a free single image can be recorded and a batch can be checked against an active Pro subscription. The image bytes are not sent. One image at a time is free and has no watermark. Exporting several files together requires Pro. Sign in before you pick a file or drop one on the page, because the free record and the subscription are stored on the account.
Start from the largest clean source you have. A thumbnail made from a small screenshot looks soft after it is scaled up to 1280 by 720. For a banner, keep the subject away from the far left and right edges, because some phone layouts crop the sides. If an upload form rejects the file, compare its pixel size with the numbers in the editor. The preset name is only a shortcut. Those numbers are the width and height written into the file. There is no prompt and no image-generation step on this page. The job is to fit a picture you already have into a frame the destination will accept.
Sign-in ties downloads to your account. Your image is still processed in the browser — we do not upload the pixels to process them.
Single-image crop, resize, and download are free. Batch processing requires an active subscription from the Pricing page.

No. Crop and encode run locally. The server only records export entitlement when you download.
