background resizer FAQ — BGResize

Answers about BGResize background resizer: sign-in, free vs Pro, formats, privacy, and browser-side crop and convert.

Frequently asked questions

What is BGResize?

BGResize is a free background resizer that crops, resizes, and converts images in your browser. Use platform presets (Zoom, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more) or enter a custom size, then download.

Why do I need to sign in?

Sign-in ties downloads to your account so we can apply free single vs Pro batch rules. Your image pixels are still processed locally for crop and convert.

What is free vs Pro?

Single-image crop, resize, convert, and download are free. Multi-file batch downloads require an active Pro subscription from the Pricing page.

Do you upload my images?

No. Crop and encode run in the browser with Canvas. Quota APIs only record export entitlement — they never receive your image pixels.

Which formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, and WebP for upload and export. Convert landing pages can preselect the output format before you open the editor.

How does the crop box work?

The preview shows the full image. Drag inside the crop box to move it; drag corners to resize. Export maps the box to your chosen output resolution.

Is there a file size limit?

Each file can be up to 25 MB. For many files at once, use Pro batch download.

Can I convert without resizing?

Yes. Start from a convert page; we open the editor with your original dimensions and the target format selected.
